Marina Mount began with a simple idea born from real life on the lake. What started as a practical solution shared between a father and son has grown into a mounting system designed to make life on the dock easier, more organized, and more enjoyable for boaters, anglers, and waterfront families.

Where the Idea Began

Marina Mount was created by father and son James and Eric Kubala after countless days spent boating, fishing, and enjoying time together on the lake.

Like many dock owners, they regularly found themselves looking for better ways to organize gear, mount accessories, and make their dock more functional without permanently changing it.

James had a natural ability to look at everyday problems and find practical solutions. When something around the dock could work better, he found a way to improve it.

One of those ideas became Marina Mount.

A Simple Idea. A Better Dock.

The idea behind Marina Mount was straightforward: create a versatile mounting system that could attach to dock uprights without drilling holes or permanently modifying the dock.

From there, the possibilities grew.

Tables. Fishing accessories. Storage. Recreation. Kayak equipment. Custom attachments.

Instead of designing another single-purpose dock accessory, James and Eric created a platform that could change with the way people use their waterfront.

Carrying the Vision Forward

In March 2023, James was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Through an incredibly difficult chapter for the Kubala family, the vision behind Marina Mount remained important. James, unfortunately, passed away in May 2024.

Today, Eric continues the work they began together, carrying forward not only the product they created but the philosophy behind it: solve real problems, keep things simple, and build something people can rely on.

With the continued support of the Kubala family, Marina Mount has grown into something larger than the original idea shared between a father and son.

It is part product, part family legacy, and entirely rooted in a love for life on the water.
