Where the Idea Began
Marina Mount was invented by father and son James and Eric Kubala, who spent countless days together on the lake enjoying boating, fishing, and family time on the dock. Like many waterfront families, they constantly ran into small challenges while organizing equipment and accessories around their dock.
James had a lifelong talent for solving practical problems with hands-on creativity. Whenever something around the dock needed to work better, he found a way to improve it. One of those ideas became the foundation for Marina Mount, a simple yet powerful solution designed to make dock life easier.
A Simple Idea
The concept behind Marina Mount was straightforward: create a mounting system that could attach to dock uprights without drilling, without permanent installation, and without complicated hardware.
The goal was to give dock owners a flexible way to organize accessories while keeping their docks clean, safe, and functional.
A Legacy That Lives On
In March 2023, James was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Even during this difficult time, the vision for Marina Mount remained strong. His passion for creating practical solutions and improving life on the water continued to inspire the project.
James passed away in May 2024, just over a year after his diagnosis. Today, his son Eric continues building the vision they started together. With the full support of their family, Marina Mount has become more than just a dock accessory system. It has become a tribute to the creativity, determination, and love for the lake that James shared with everyone around him.
